"The tools to put together your skateboard. The tools that you're going to need to put together your skateboard, you're going to have to remember that you're going to be putting grip tape on the top of the board, you're going to be mounting mounting hardware that hold your trucks to your board. You're going to have to put together the wheels, including the bearings into the wheels and locking the axles onto the wheels and bearings and tightening up your trucks. So the tools that you're going to need to do all of these things are- usually there's a general tool that helps you with all of the bolts that are on the board. Now, one side of this tool is used for the axle. Another side is used for your Kingpin. The third side is used for the bolt on the mounting hardware. Now, this is a very good tool because it has an instrument on here to push the bearing in. Now this is a very good thing to have because it can hurt your hands to try to push the bearing into a wheel sometimes. Now this is an even better tool because it has a re-threader on it. Now this is probably one of the best skate tools to have and I think that it's made by Reflex which is Alien Workshop. This re-threader, here, is for your axle of your skateboard which gets a lot of mushrooming going on from missing kick flips or landing primo. So this thing is used once the axle of our truck is completely worn out. It can re-thread that and you can put a new bolt on it even if the threads are smashed together. Now the other tool you're going to need is a razor blade to cut around the edge of the grip tape. Now, you don't just need a straight razor blade, you can also use some kind of a sharp knife or a curved hand blade with a handle if it's a little easier for you. Now, in our case, we're using mounting hardware that has a Phillip's head on top. So, I've chosen this Phillip's head, here. Now this is the normal size that comes with a set of mounting hardware, so they're usually free inside the pack which is nice because these can fit easily in your pocket and you can skate around with them and use them and not lose them. So, in this case, we're using that. In some cases we may use a Phillip's head for the top of the bolt, but in this case we have the Phillip's head. So, the other tool that you're going to need is some sort of a device that can score the edge of your grip tape. Now a file works perfect, but remember, if you're going to use this file, you should probably decide to end up using this to put boards together from now on. Because it's definitely going to wear off the file really fast. But this is one of the best edges that you can get from anything. To file down the edge of the grip tape and get a defined line so that you can eventually cut the grip tape with the razor blade. So, another thing that could work in place of a file is you can take some kind of a pliers or the corner of pliers, or you could use a Phillips head screwdriver or a flathead screwdriver and just drag it along the edge of the board that you're putting together. Now, this is going to pretty much wreck any kind of screwdriver that you're using, so you want to make sure that you choose one that you're never going to use again. And, these are all of the components and tools that you're going to need to put together your skateboard."
