"The skateboard deck, choosing a deck can be the most important part of picking your complete setup. What you want to do is make sure that you find a brand that is a, in an actual pro skate shop and not one of those complete put together boards. So what you'll want to do is notice that certain boards have, or are endorsed by pro skaters. So usually these boards are the ones that you'll want to buy and they're better quality. So when you're looking for a board, what you want to look for is that the board lasts a long time for one and that the board has a lot of pop. And that's when you hit the tail on the ground or when you're doing tricks it lasts a long time and doesn't get a, mushy and start to flatten out. The other thing when picking a board, you want to make sure that you pick a board that is the right size for you and the skating that you want to do. So you don't want to pick a board that's too big for you, too big for your foot size. So usually the average street skater skates a board that's somewhere around seven and a half inches up to about eight inches and somewhere in between there so we have a couple different boards right here in front of us. This board here is a little bit larger, this is about an eight and a half. Now this is outside of the amount that I said but this is probably the biggest example of a board that you'll find. Now this size board might work really well for somebody with a size twelve foot or something bigger like that or somebody who just wants to cruise around and not have their feet leave the board to much or have, do to many flip tricks. I've got another board here and this is a really good example of a flatter board that you could find and you'll notice that the board is a little flatter and the concave isn't as deep. Now this is another thing that you’re going to have to look for when picking out a board and it's going to require you to kind of find your own taste when you're picking out a board. And this is something that you may, take you a while to learn a, as you look at different boards and skate different boards to learn exactly what you want to skate. Now this other board here I have is actually an example of very deep concave. As you can see the board is, has a lot more deeper on the edges and it also tends to go up a little quicker just after the bolts. Now this is going to affect how it is when you, the time that it takes for your tail to hit the ground and how steep that board is going to be before it actually clicks and hits the ground. So these are just a few of the factors to take into consideration when picking out your skateboard deck."
