"What we're doing now is centering this plate on the wheel and what we need for this is a pin tool, and I'm going to take my pin tool and run it down the edge of my plate; and you can see I'm creating a line in the clay where it's off center. And what I'm going to do is go from one side of the line to the other side, and simply push the plate forward like that. O.k. now we'll test it again and as you can see now my pin tool is not moving, and not leaving a line. If it was way off center to begin with we would have a tiny little mark and the more on center it is, the larger your mark's going to be until your pin simply goes all the way around. O.k. so now I'm simply going to attach this onto the wheel; secure it onto the wheel like so, just going to put a little moisture on the bat so that the clay sticks and then I'm going to take three pieces of clay; small pieces like this and simply stick them around the edges of the plate. Now you can see that I'm not actually sticking the clay to the plate; I'm actually sticking the clay to the bat, I'm just letting one edge touch the plate like so. O.k. so as you can see we've secured the plate nicely to the bat and the next thing we are going to do is trim the base of this plate, and put a nice foot onto it and we're going to do that next."
