Summary: Turn braiding hair is an art form in itself and one of the most important steps of a braid is the beginning. Learn tips on how this is done in this free video clip.
"Ok, now we've got the hair parted, and before we start braiding, it's always good to just to kind of run comb through it to make sure that it's easier to pull apart and separate as we're braiding. It looks like we're good through out all of it. So, just like the basic braid, you're going to grab a section of hair at the top, this is where our first part is, and you're going to grab a piece and split it in three, it's always the same. And we're going to go under and under, pinch it down and start to grab, and just keep going under. Make sure you hold the hair tight to keep the braid centered along the section of hair that we've set aside for this design. Just keep grabbing and going under. Just keep pulling on this to make sure you stay centered, and just keep grabbing hair. Make sure you check yourself and make sure that you're in line from this whole section of hair, your braid should be right in the middle."
