Video Transcript

"Our kiln has fired. It's been about twenty four hours since I started the kiln load, and if you look at my electric programmed interface, it's telling us that its a hundred and nineteen degrees, it's complete. It took eight hours and forty minutes to complete this firing, and then it's cooled down to one hundred and nineteen degrees in the twenty four hours since then. This is a reasonable rate for opening the kiln, down at least to the temperatures that your oven would have; preferably below two hundred and fifty degrees. Then you can open your kiln, and see what you've got. It's finished glazed pieces that look completely finished; they're done, and we've got layers and layers of these things, like I showed you during the loading. That's the very last thing you need. Your pottery is finally done."
