Okay, so here we are at the wheel. We have a lump of clay wedged up that we're going to use to throw our pitcher. And I'd just like to quickly review some of the necessary tools we are going to need for this project. I like to use ribs. These are very good for shaping, throwing, and adding any designs, trimming also while the clay is wet. We have a pin tool, variety of sponges, sponge here it's on a stick. We also have these tools here which are trimming tools, which are used once the clay is leather hard to trim a base on the pitcher, and we'll be doing that later. We also need a bucket of water, a piece of leather, soft leather; I'll show you what that's for later, and a bat. This is a wire tool. We will also be using this in this demonstration. Okay, so now we've reviewed some of the basic tools you're going to need. I'm now going to show you how to prepare your bat for the wheel, and we are going to do that next.
