I'm going to use this spray bottle. We want to be able to spray a fine mist. You don't want to spray large water droplets when you're doing this. You notice that I have the three primary colors, which are cobalt blue, red, and yellow, all in this separate area. That makes it easy, because some paintings require just primary colors. What we're going to do is start by mixing color; the red and the yellow together, so it's a rosy peach, and we're going to apply it where this top line and this line intersect. Now I'm going to remove some of the color, and then I'm going to turn the paper, and I'm going to start gradating out this tone. Remove some paint by sticking this one eighth inch into the water, and remove some paint, and then work the inside edge; all the while, we are setting up so that there's almost an eighth of an inch of white rim, and I'm just tweaking the gradation right now.
