"Ok, let's do the bud first. It has a little yellow on the interior of the bow, so we're going to paint a very fine amount of yellow, not very deep at all. Now watercolor dries lighter than when it's applied. But still that may be a little too much, so we're going to blot it up this. Press with a paper towel and that will do it. Next, we're going to put down violet. This is too deep a violet, so we're going to have to add some water to it. So you take it from one part of your palette and move it to another, and add water to it, and then you start painting the edges. Now, I'm going to soften the edges here. They'll form a gradation. Notice, I'm removing paint and water on the paper towel."
