"I'm going to set up the probe and begin to do the work on Pam. The first thing an Electrologist does at this point is set her clock and Pam wants to do an hours work. So I'm going to set the timer and now my paycheck starts. Most Electrolgists work at a minute rate or a 15 minute rates or 30 minute rates, like that. And the common price is like a dollar a minute and varies on how accomplished the Electrogist is. Anyway, the probes I keep in a sterile container and I use a probe that is equal to her hair follicle. There are different sizes like 002,003 and basically they come in a sterile packet and we dispose of these in a needle carrier for bio-hazard waste afterwards. Now the tip of the electrology machine, which is this white tip, needs to be sterilized as well. This goes on the electrology machine. Now, when I'm working on client, this has all been wiped down, sterilized, and then I put the tip on, which has been sterilized and then I add with a pair of tweezers and they are sterile as well. We work in a very sterile situation. This is a medical procedure. It takes a certification which is usually 600 hours up to maybe even 1,000 depending upon the state. And it has a lot of continuing education. So then we load this needle on the needle holder. You've got to get a touch on that, this is a fine filament. So then I've turned that, I'm wearing gloves, my hands have been sterilized, we load this machine and now we are ready to go."
