"In this segment we're going to cover removing the cage or bracket assembly that holds the center console in place and that's located up underneath the dash. It's held down by four, ten millimeter bolts, actually they're ten millimeter head about a six millimeter bolt. And the two top ones are located right here, and we'll have to remove one Phillips screw there and then in the back behind, there's two that bolt the lower bracket down to the uni-body center section there in the middle. And what you see dangling around here is after market wiring for a higher power stereo system. One of the things we're going to do when we get the carpet out is we're going to reroute that wiring a little bit better and have it all covered and concealed. So go ahead and get the two upper bolts. Okay, a quick switch bits, so it's Phillips and I remove that center one. There we go. Now I'm going to use a ten millimeter socket and get the ones that bolt down to the floor in the rear. And once I get them broken free I found that it's usually easier if I just leave the socket on the bolt and then twist it out with my fingers at that point. It's kind of an awkward position. Right behind this bracket is part of an air duct system that delivers heat underneath both the driver and the passenger seat for added comfort, and that will have to be removed as well. Okay I got one of the bolts out. I'm going to have to switch positions and come over and get the other bolt out. That will conclude part one of removing the bracket assembly for the center console. Please watch our next segment, we'll cover removing the bracket assembly for the center console part two and the air duct."
