"Alright, so now that I have told you how to create the beginning of the scarf, you can continue with the single stitch and then, if you want to switch color, stop about three stitches before the end of the row. Pull the loop out so you have ample room to work with it and cut the string about four or five inches away. Now tie on the new color and leave plenty of room with the ends. You can tuck these in later, but these are very important to keep the knot secure. So tie it on tight and don't worry about how long these are you can cut them or not. This is a pretty good length, about three inches, to leave on. And now, continue crocheting. And since you left three stitches, you can continue with that color until the end of that row. Now incorporate the new color. Remember add a stitch and move on to the second row. That is how you change color."
