"Today were going to be changing the fluid in our four wheel drive transfer case. In this step I am going to talk about the tools and supplies that are required in order to change your transfer case fluid. What I have here in front of me is all the stuff your going to need. First and foremost we have replacement fluid. Now the fluid capacity is going to varie from make and model as well as the fluid type. This particular take automatic transmission fluid of the Mercon style. We have Dex/Merc which services both General Motors and Ford it takes one point five quarts and unfortunately they don't sell it in the one quart bottles so we had to get two. I have my magnetic tray to hold my drain plugs a small extension and three eights drive ratchet. Now the head on your drain and fill plugs is going to be the actual square driver portion of the ratchets extension. We have a shop rag for cleaning up any messes we make my heavy duty floor jack a pair of jack stands with safety releases. I will show you how they work the slide up like so to adjust to the vehicle and release by pulling the release handles. Just like that. I also have my large industrial drain pan. These are the tools and supplies required in order to change the transfer case fluid."
