"Today, we're changing the power lock actuator in the rear lift gate of a ninety six Ford Explorer. In this step, I'm going to demonstrate the proper service procedure for re-installing your new lock motor. What I have here, in my hands, is some silicone spray. I'm going to take and extend to the motor rod, and spray some silicone lubricant in that area there, just like so. Let the excess drip off. Now, this hook portion is going to take and slip into a hole up inside the lock mechanism. You're going to want to hook this up first, before you begin mounting your motor. All right, what I'm going to do once I have the lock rod connected, I'm going to take and spread the bracket open and slide this actuator back into position. You can see you have these three pins to choose from, depending upon the style of the lock motor. We're going to use the one that's all the way up front. As you can see, I've taken and popped that lock motor back into the clips, here, that are riveted on. You can see the pin here, there's one just like it on the back. Once you have that done, you can take and reconnect your electronics, just like so. That is the proper procedure for installing your power lock motor."
