"Hello, my name is Jeff Fiffie. I'll be showing you how to perform basic field maintenance on your car. A clogged air filter is never a good thing. One again, the air filter is located in different locations on your vehicle. This particular air filter is located right behind the battery. This has one, two, three different screws that holds it down, firmly fixed to the housing. Unscrew those, then the air filter is exposed. The air filter is used to capture any dust or any grime or dirt that may be coming outside the vehicle. Once again, if this is clogged, it will cause a loss of power and bad gas mileage. You should change this at least every 15,000 miles on the average. From what I've seen, this is a very good gas mileage interval. Before replacing your air filter, you want to make sure that the dust or the grime within the housing itself is cleaned out thoroughly. This could be done using a paper towel. Once you obtain a new air filter, you want to place it back in the housing, making sure it's firmly fixed in the housing itself. Take your top houser. Make sure, once again, that it's affixed firmly into the holes. Tighten your screws back down."
