"Hello, my name is Jeff Fiffie. I'll be showing you how to perform basic fuel maintenance on your car. Next, we'll be talking about your air filter. A clogged air filter is never a good thing. This particular air filter is located right behind the battery itself. Once again, the air filter may be located in different sections locations on the vehicle itself. It?s important to change your air filter because it could result in bad gas, mileage or loss of power. Your air filter is one of the easiest things to change. This particular one has one, two, three different screws that you can unscrew using a flathead screwdriver. Unscrew the screws and the housing comes right off. The air filter should be changed on average of 15,000 miles. This particular one is dirty. The purpose of this is to allow the air to go through the filter to clean any dirt or grime that may go through the filter before it enters into the housing itself. This could cause your engine to be starved or lose power."
