"Hello, my name is Jeff Fiffie. I'll be showing you how to perform basic fuel maintenance on your car. Oil filter should be checked on an average of three-thousand seven hundred and fifty miles. On this particular engine, right here, the oil filter performs at several different functions, cooling, lubrication, corrosion and protection from contaminate transfer. It's wise to change your oil at least every five-thousand miles, for several reasons. As the oil is used, it becomes dirty drastically reducing the capability to transfer heat. Running contaminate oil, in your engine, also increases the risk of internal scaring of engine parts. Time, temperature and chemicals break down additives that control the velocity and this does change in your oil velocity, over time. Running it, improper, means that the oil might not be contacting high points of your bearing drums and other important friction points, in your engine. Those are some reasons why you should change your oil often."
