"Hello, my name is Jeff Fiffie. I'll be showing you how to perform basic field maintenance on your car. If the vehicle tires are under-inflated by only six psi, it could weaken the tire's entire structure and eventually lead to tire failure. Low inflation pressures will allow for more deflation as the tire rolls. This will build up more internal heat and increase rolling resistance and cause a reduction in fuel economy of up to five percent and will reduce the tire tread by as much as twenty-five percent. So this is why it is important to check the air in your tire."
