"The distributor cap. Now what you want to do is make sure that you get it lined up the very same. Here's this boss right here, here's where your clip goes, because to replace your distributor cap you want to make sure that you replace one wire at a time. If you get these wires mixed up your going to call a mechanic and it's going to cost you some money. So, do not get the wires mixed up. O.k., so what I'm going to do then is I'm going to start replacing these wires. The first one I'm going to replace is the coil wire. So, basically you just twist these wires and they'll pop off. O.k., so the coil wire is right in the middle, we're going to replace that one first. And you just push it on, you can hear it snap in place. Then I'm going to begin with the one right in front of me here. O.k. now make sure you get these right. Just snap them on, one at a time. Now this is an eight cylinder, but it's the very same with a four cylinder or a six cylinder. Now, you want to route these wires so that they're not binding on anything, and they're not rubbing against anything. So, we just continue replacing these wires onto the distributor cap. So, here's our old distributor cap doesn't really look too bad, but I can see that it does have some significant wear in here, and also some wear in here. But usually what happens with these is they'll get a big crack across here, and the sparks just jump all over the place."
