"Hi, I'm Michael Burton, and we're going to talk about choosing a wedding videographer for your wedding day. I want to talk about how wedding videography is not just a hobby for some people, it's actually a profession. There are many types of wedding videographers out there. There are those that have never picked up a camera before in their life, and are going to school, and they decided that they just want to pay their way through school and so they noticed that videography is a good way to make some money so they'll pick it up and start shooting. Then there are also those that have been doing it for maybe a few years, off and on, little by little. Maybe still paying their way through school or maybe just kind of doing it as a side hobby or a home hobby. There's also those videographers out there, like myself, that do it professionally full time, all the time and as an actual business and not as a way to pay their way through school or not as a way to just make some extra money on the side. So, there are different types of videographers. Not to say that any of them are bad, it's just a good thing to know when you're choosing a videographer that you know what you're getting yourself into. There are some videographers that do it part time that are very, very good at what they do. Even if they are paying their way through school, they're very good at what they do. So, it's not just a hobby anymore, it's actually become a profession. In the last ten to fifteen years, videography has really taken a step forward into becoming a really big part on a bride's wedding day. There are a lot of professionals out there that are willing to come shoot or film your wedding video and actually put together a really nice video for you as opposed to having like Uncle Bob or Uncle Joe come and film your wedding video and you have this really shaky like home video look to your wedding. You can actually get a professional to come out and do it. And, there are those that do it as a hobby on the side that are very, very good at what they do. But that's just one thing to take into consideration when you're searching for a videographer, is to ask them how long they've been doing it, where their background's from, and we'll be talking about a few other things later on, as well, that you can look at to make sure you get a good wedding videographer that you're comfortable with, showing up to film you at your wedding."
