"Hi, I'm Michael Burton and we're here talking about choosing a wedding videographer for your wedding day. I want to talk about where to find these wedding videographers, how to track them down and how to sort them out. There's a couple of basic locations that are probably the best bet. The main, the number one place to find a wedding videographer is at a Bridal Show or Bridal Fair. Bridal Fairs can be in any area of wherever you're living. Just look up, on-line, under Bridal Fairs in your area, and I'm sure tons will pop up. It's a very popular thing. It's a really good way where people from all sorts of venues can get together and be able to provide and show off their products, in one location, for brides and their grooms and their family when they all come to these shows. Then, of course, there's give-a-ways and prizes, so that really entices these brides to come to these shows. And, what happens is, the people that are advertising those shows, they're getting paid from these vendors and so, they're using all that money to advertise the show. So, you're getting brides from all over the place. That's your number one place is to go there while all these other brides are congregating and looking at all of these different venues. You can find videographers, photographers, caterers, furniture. You can find cruises, wedding dresses, tuxedos, anything that you can think of, jewelry. So, that's the number one place to look for a wedding videographer. Most videographers, such as myself, when we're at one of these Bridal Fairs, we have hundreds and hundreds of demos to pass out just for free. All you have to do is come by and pick one up at a booth and you can check out our work. You can see samples of our work. What you do is you take them home and you watch all those videos and then you can choose. Kind of like, OKay, what's more along your style? What do you like more? And then, of course, that's when you would start contacting those videographers depending on what you saw and what you like. Another good place to find wedding videographers is simply to go to photographer's websites, because a lot of those photographers have links on their sites to the videographers that they work with very well. Chances are, if the photographer's been in the business for a long time, then that means they have good rapport with the videographer that's on their site. Also, that means that the videographer has probably been around for a long time. You tend to get the ones who have been around for a long, teaming up with the photographers that have also been around for a long time. Another good place to look for a videographer is contacting some local reception centers and asking who they would recommend. A lot of videographers, such as myself, we drop off cards or demos to these reception centers and if we film there a lot, they know us personally and so they tend to refer us to a lot of people. Some of them have their preferred and some of them have just huge lists of videographers that they can give you to contact. And, they can recommend good ones and bad ones as well."
