"Hey this is Gerard Mainardi. Today we're talking about how to organize your My Documents folder in Windows XP. Windows XP is trademarked to Microsoft Corporation, and I am not affiliated with the Microsoft Corporation. I'm also going to mention two programs here, Trillion and Instant Messenger, the AOL Instant Messenger. I'm not affiliated with either of those either, but I can show you how to do something handy with them, so let?s take a look. Now what we want to do is, we've already set up a Downloads folder, but let?s take a quick look at that again. To start, go to your My Documents; find your Downloads folder. You can here I have an AIM folder; you can make one yourself easily by right clicking, going to New, going to Folder. You can create a new folder that way; call it whatever you like. Now, what we're trying to do here is create a place for the conversations that we have on line. Some people like to do logging, some people don't. I know if you're like me, you're going to want to have a record of things that you talk about so you can find them later. I'll show you how to do that. I'm using Trillion here, you might be using Instant Messenger. If you are, it's as easy as going up to Edit, scrolling down to Settings. You'll get a screen much like this one. Inside Settings you'll have something called IM History; go into that. You'll have a screen just like this one where you can choose the things that you want to save. For instance, here I have my Text Conversations clicked and Subjects and Conferences all clicked, and then there will be a folder where you can browse to save your conversations to. Click the Browse button; this opens up a browse folder. Here you just navigate right to it, at the top, My Documents, scroll down to the Downloads folder that you've made and then select the AIM folder that you've made inside; hit Ok. You're ready to go. From now on all of the conversations that you have and that you selected to be saved will be saved inside there. Very easy to find them later on; easy way to keep organized."
