"What I have here is an old abandoned bird's nest from a few years back. See how very dry and brittle this is. This is what we are going to use to start the fire. Here is an old piece shredding, shredded up pieces of oak and what you can do with this stuff, this is just an old piece of wood I found laying around. You want to grind it up, cut it up and work it into the nest and create a bird's nest. Ultimately it is what everyone calls a bird's nest. It is what is used to collect the hot coals. You want to kind of work it in here and create, almost break this up so the oxygen can get in here, an almost like a bird's nest and you can use even lent out of your dryer. Work with what you have out in nature for practice so this is almost ready to go and you can see how it starts to shape like a nest. Do you see that, the way it is shaped? Now we are ready to go to the next step."
