So when your baby is crying and upset. If you're starting to get upset, if you're starting to get stressed out, frustrated. Not relaxed. Again, your baby can feel that. And they'll pick up on that. And their crying may become worse. Meaning, it might go on longer. It might get louder. It might become a little bit more frantic. As you're becoming a little bit more upset, a little bit more, maybe frantic or stressed. So one thing you might try, is first to relax yourself. And one way, you can do that. If you're holding your baby. Or if the baby's sitting with you. Even if they're crying or upset, go ahead and place baby right in front of you. Make sure they're comfortable, they're sitting. Or even hold their tummy, so you can feel their tummy. They can start to feel your hands, relax. As you begin to relax. So even if baby's a little bit upset. It's o.k. to take a moment and just hold them. Right here on your lap. And start to relax. Take a moment for yourself. But still never leaving your baby, unattended. Close contact. So hold your baby. And if you need to, go ahead and close your eyes. If your baby is safe and secure. You can close your eyes. And you want to take deep breath, in through your nose. And then, blow it out your mouth. So in and out. And do it nice and slow. And do it another time. We'll do it the third time, as well. So in through your nose. Well, out through your mouth. Keep your eyes closed if you want or you can open them up. It's absolutely fine. Whatever you need to do, to make sure your baby is safe, as well. You may need to keep eyes open. And make sure that they're comfortable. After you do your deep breaths and at the same time. You can even keep doing, more deep breaths. Roll your shoulders back. Nice and high, bring them up. And nice and slow, going back. Keeping your hands on the baby, the entire time. So they're nice and safe. They feel secure. They start to feel, your body relaxed. When you're doing it this way. So roll your shoulders back and then forward. Again, bringing your shoulders nice and high. Rolling them slowly forward. Bring your shoulders straight up and hold it up high, by your ears. Then drop them down. Bounce them down, a little bit. Take another deep breath in. And out. And just start to relax. As you relax, your baby may also start relaxing. And this might be, just what your baby needs. Is a calm moment for the two of you together. Just sitting and relax.
