"Alright. What I did, was I applied four big dots in a square formation on either side of the base bead. What I'm going to do now, is very slowly melt those dots in. These dots are going to be the petals of the flower. You want to make sure that you heat your beads slowly and you heat from the outside in. You do not want to heat your base bead in this step. And, you do not want to change the shape of the bead at all. Your main objective here is just to melt your four dots, so that they're even with the surface. White is a very difficult color to use, because it turns clear as it gets hot. So, what you're going to do is we're going to use a dental pick. And, we're going to plunge in between the four dots that we made and there's your other side. We're going to plunge right in between there to draw the flower petals together. So, what we're going to do is called spot heating. We're going to make our flame just a little bit smaller and we're going to spot heat the glass so that it's hot right in the middle of those four petals. And, we're going to use our dental pick to plunge into the glass."
