"For womens' self defense and personal protection, one of the most important things you can do is to create an emergency action plan and that is more than just a what if there is a fire in my home type of thing. We call it war gaming or scenario planning. What would you do if? It is important that you do that for all aspects of your life and many people do that for their home, what if there is a fire in my home, how am I going to get out? It is very important to have that. What if, however, somebody is banging on your door at three o'clock in the morning or they begin to kick it in, what are you going to do? What if you are driving down the road, you stop at a stop light and a car jacker comes up. What are you going to do? I say this because the earlier we can plan it out in our minds and kind of walk through it in our minds it is easier for us to act. We are not locked up in the moment of being paralyzed with trying to decide what is going to happen. We have already made the decision and an emergency action plan allows you more time to simply act, be it either to defend yourself, effectively defend yourself, escape the situation or more importantly prevent a situation. So one of the most important parts of womens' self defense and personal protection is developing an emergency action plan."
