"So as an artist my favorite part of the pottery and ceramics is the glazing. We decided the interior is going to be the blue. The exterior is going to be the wheat field. So to incorporate both colors on the outside, since that's the first thing you see, I'm going to add blue on top and around the wheat field color. So again since it's been sitting here you've got to mix it really well. I'm going to be very free. This is where you use your imagination and your creativity. I kind of have a thought in mind when I'm glazing ahead of time, but sometimes in the middle of it changes. Different strokes from each brush is going to give you a different effect. I usually like a thick to thin application so I do a heavy pressure and then light. You know lighten up when I'm holding the brush, and of course I do three layers. Every time you use a commercial glaze, with, by hand with the brush you've got to do three layers. So I'm going to continue to do that around the whole, around the whole piece."
