"Now this is primarily when you write your speech, but it will also affect your delivery depending on what choice of delivery you're using, what method of delivery. But you need to present your entire package in the sense of you. Meaning, I'm talking about what's good for you, referring to the audience. Everything about your attitude should be the you attitude versus the I attitude. Or when we're talking about business, we're talking about maybe a corporate presentation, the we attitude. This is what we want. This is what I want. You have to leave those elements out because in order to establish a good relationship with your audience you have to involve them. And they are the you. Maybe we're trying to get something out of this speech but we need to present it in such a way where the audience feels like we're trying to meet their needs. You, this is good for you. What do you want? What do you feel? So forth and so on. So approach it with a you attitude."
