"Hi there, I'm Tracy Goodwin, and I'm the red sweater lady, and today we're going to be talking about how to establish a good relationship with your audience. Now this is talking about public speaking here. You are the speaker. Perhaps you are in a college speech class and you've been assigned a speech. Maybe this is in the business world, you have to make a presentation. Whatever the scenario, it's very important for you, the speaker, to establish a good relationship with your audience for a lot of reasons. If you establish a good relationship with your audience they'll be much more willing to listen to what you have to say, to consider what you have to say, to respond nonverbally to what you have to say, and all of those things will make you more comfortable as a speaker, and if you're more comfortable then you're going to do a much better job presenting your information as a public speaker. So there's some real easy tips to follow, that can start you right off, up front, establishing that good relationship. So let's get started."
