"Hi, I'm JK Dooley, I'm a professional artist, and today we're talking a little bit more about giclee reproductions. And, you've got a couple choices when you choose canvas. You can either choose a glossy coating, or a matte coating, and that's actually on the canvas itself, that's not something that you apply. So, when you have your pieces printed, you want to kind of decide which one you prefer, and then make sure you let your printer know, so they have right kind of canvas. Some people tend to match the surface of the canvas to their original image, so an example of that would be if someone paints watercolors on paper, they may want to use a canvas that's more of a matte finish, because that's kind of a look that they're accustomed to. People that paint oil paintings on canvas that typically have a high gloss, they may be more comfortable with a reproduction that has the same look to it. So, it's kind of personal choice again, depending on the original piece that you did in the beginning. Personally, I prefer the glossy, even though I paint paper, because I think it adds a lot more to the image, it just makes it look a little more different, and it gives me the opportunity to reach a different number of customers. So, it's your choice, just like everything else."
