"Smoothing the nose some, then extending and making the shoulder taller and wider, and still adding more to the front of the leg. Now we're going to come back and put more color on the front, left of the leg. Extend the hoof, make it more pointed, add more color to it. Remember water color dries lighter, so you've got to put more color than that's really there so that it will dry correctly."
