Now, I've still got paint on the brush and I'm sticking the brush in the water and pulling it out and cleaning it on the paper towel. This way you won't be dirtying up your water. So what I'm going to do here is soften up the edges. I'm not going to spend a lot of time. I'm just going to just sort of scrub him out unless they need a hard edge. I'm going to soften them even if I'm going to put a color on top of them because watercolor is transparent unless its full strength and that means it will, you'll see color through it if you don't and you'll see that hard edge. So that's why I am softening the edge to do this, k, the next color is going to be a combination of burnt sienna and a little bit of red.
