Watercolor Painting: A Rooster

Ok we are going to start with the lightest colors. The lightest colors on this rooster are yellow and we have a little orange tint to it. So we are going to pull out some yellow, put a little bit more water in the brush, with the yellow. We don't want the yellow full strength; we might want a touch of orange in it that might have been too much orange. That looks better there. So what we are going to do is water to the brush the rooster needs to be lighter and we are going to work, we are going to do the breast of the rooster and the neck as well. Now since this is a lighter color we are going to be able to paint over it with the darker colors. So that is the whole idea so we don't have to be perfectly neat. I do like leaving a few random shapes holes where white is seeing and I like to cover up the lines.
