Nice folkloric move, I like to call the Beledi Hip Push. And it comes from the ground and comes out your body, like you're really giving your energy out to your audience. So you're going to start by having your feet slightly apart. The action is mostly going to come from the bent knee on side of your body. Let me show you what it looks like first and then we'll break it down. So the accent is always going to be on the downbeat, on the one, down, pop, it's got a little pop to it. So if you watch my coins, they're moving more on this one side because the energy is coming straight up my leg and straight forward out of my hip. This leg is pretty much staying very still. So my weight is evenly distributed, but I'm using my knee here to accent this one side and I'm tightening back here to make sure the movement goes straight forward. Be careful not to engage the pelvic region cause it is not a pelvic drop. You don't want to get into this movement here. So you want to make sure you pop it out the front. So we're going to go, bend and straighten it. Bend and straighten. Bend, very good, and straighten. Make sure you keep your body lifted so the only action's right here and going straight out toward your audience. A little faster. Pop and pop and pop and pop. So practice this in the mirror and make sure your posture is looking really good.
