Let's try our folkloric hip push, I mean shoulder push rather, traveling or rocking from side to side. So, let's start with our feet. We know where our weight is going to be shifting. Remember accent is going to be on the down beat. Our heel is going to go down up down, down, up down. Make sure you absorb this motion in the knees and the whole body moves with it, nice and naturally. Down up down, down up down. Now make sure that your feet are just slightly apart or just barely past your hip width so you have balance. But you want to have a very wide stance. Get your arms out to the side. Now we're going to do the push and we're going to go push, push; lift, lift. So each side that you go to, you're going to push that shoulder forward. Down up down, down up down, down up down, down up down. Try and relax into it. Don't be stiff. Try and use these muscles and isolate them but let them relax and be natural. Keep breathing. Make sure that your chest stays nice and lifted. Practice this in the mirror. Make sure that everything is in the right place.
