"Let's practice an unweighted hip accent that's going to go down. So let's put our feet slightly apart. Bend your weighted leg. Press the big toe of your unweighted leg into the floor. Pull that heel up and the ankle in in our showgirl foot position. Make sure the knee is pointing forward and slightly in. Pull that belly button in to support the spine. Lift your chest. Relax your shoulders. So now we're going to start with pulling the hip up and let it drop in a nice sharp fashion and let it pull up nice and slowly and drop. Pull up and drop. Pull up and drop. Pull up and drop. You want the accent to be exactly where you want it to go down when it comes down. Now faster. Down. Up. Down. Up. Down. Up. Down. Up. Be sure to practice this on both sides. Now make sure that your standing leg does not let you go up and down. You don't want to go. Don't let it straighten. You have to keep it bent. You you're going to get some sore muscles in that leg. But that's all right. It'll be a nice work out. Make sure your head stays nice and level. Very good. And be sure to practice that in the mirror and watch your upper carriage."
