"Let's practice an unweighted hip movement. It's going to be with one leg weighted bent and the other leg is going to have the big toe press in the floor in our showgirl position with the ankle in and the heel up. The knee's going to be coming right off the hip pointing either forward or in slightly. Pull your belly button in to support your spine. Lift your chest and relax your shoulders. We're going to do a little twist with our unweighted hip. So it's real important for the leg that's anchored that it stays in position so the rest of you can stay still. So we're going to twist our hip forward slightly and then back. And we're going to kind of keep it on a horizontal plane. But here with a, with a heel lifted, it can make nice little lift there. And up and back. And forward and back. Be sure not to let the shoulders move or the hands to start moving around. You want all the action to be right here so they know exactly where to look. It's not what you're moving. It's what you're not moving that looks so cool. And be sure to practice this on both sides. And you can practice a little faster. Be sure to look in the mirror. Make sure your head's not going up and down. Watch your belly button. Give that a try."
