"Let's work on a little bit more advanced move of your sensual hip work using an unweighted leg so you're going to be accenting one hip in your movement. Let's have the feet slightly apart; you're going to have your weighted leg bent, the other one press you toe into the floor in your showgirl foot position; make sure the knee is in and coming off of the hip, pull that belly button in and lift the chest so you have a really nice line; and your weight is centered over both of your feet. Now we're going to make a vertical figure eight that's going to travel up so we're going to scoop it down and then you're going to bring it back, and then bring it down and back. So pretend you're drawing a figure eight with your hip; bring it up, back; scoop it up, pull it back; up, very good. Try it on the other side; make sure you check with your feet and that they're all balanced, and in the right place; forward, back. Practice this in the mirror to make sure you have your head staying nice and level and that your knees are absorbing all that motion so you're hip can get some nice action in it."
