Adobe Photoshop is the industry standard for photo editing today. It is a program that allows the user to be very hands on with images and manipulate the characteristics of the picture in whatever way they feel is suitable. It gives the user the ability to add specific features only available through the program to their images. Photoshop is also now being used to create images from scratch at a design level. The impact of this is that anyone with a computer is now able to design and create as they see fit. It is no longer reserved to the established and wealthy designers. In this free video series a Photoshop expert, Robert Segundo, will show you how to manipulate and create a liquid text appearance in Photoshop. Robert will begin by showing you how to choose an appropriate font style. He'll then show you several effects that you can apply in order to help enhance the appearance of your textual image. You'll learn to apply water drop effects, lighting effects, chrome effects and even liquefying effects. Robert will also show you how to layer your textual design using the Alpha Channel Mask program, in Photoshop. After adding a few final touches you'll be well on your way towards creating a realistic liquid-like text.
"Now I'm going to show you how to do a reflective liquid text; something along those lines; slime, goo, however you want to look at it. So, let's get started right now, and as you can see I've already got my layer up, and the size is eight hundred pixels by two hundred pixels by three hundred dpi. That's kind of what I like to use. So, what we're going to do here is let's go ahead, and just type our text in. Let's hit X to get to our black here. Say type our text here, and just say let's get something a little curvy, like a brush or a here we go, calligraphy will do. And let's just type in, and let's just type in liquid. There we go. Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to re-size my text, like so. You can do this in your free-form tool; free-form modify tool by hitting command T, and then once you're done modifying it to where you want it to, just go ahead and hit enter, and that will go ahead, and accept the changes that you've made here. So, you know what? If this is going to be liquid, let's add a little bit of liquid to it, and you know what? We'll do that in the next part."
