"These are called rectangular prisms. Carry them very carefully to your rug, one at a time until all ten are over on the rug. Once they are over on the rug, and then show the children how they can put them in order. I always start with the largest first. This is great for problem solving and to discriminate between the different sizes. Or you can have them stack them upward, a little more difficult to stack upward. That is called the downstairs, or the rectangular prism."
