"Now this is a C flute. This is kind of a grandfather flute. This is the deepest, lowest sounding flute that I have, and it sounds like this. It's a very soft, very warm, very beautiful sounding flute. Now, there's another C flute here, which is a very, very different sound. It's a much bigger sound. So, it's a much more present, much darker, much deeper, louder sounding, but it doesn't have the same quiet softness that the other has. So, depending on the song, or the energy, or the feeling, you might choose one flute, or you might choose the other."

on 5/2/2009 John is wonderfull! I have learned so much just from watching his instructions for the very first time. I am a novice on the Native American Flute or on any other instrument for that matter. John is also funny and made me laugh. I realized that I started to practice incorrectly, and John showed me how to practice the right way. I also appreciate his words on the Spiritual nature of playing this instrument.
Thank you John.
