"This is sort of an appliqu? stitch and, this you can kind of do on the front side of your fabric. It's called the fell stitch and it's the first sort of decorative stitch that I'm going to show you. Okay, so this is the front, let's say this is the back, so I'm going to go ahead with in the back, I'm going to put my needle in the back, and then what I'm going to do is go right directly across from where it's coming in, go back down, and then I'm going to go in the back. So, see we have the first stitch here, and then I'm going to move up an eighth of an inch in the back, but I'm going to kind of gage it from the front where I want the needle to come out. It's better if you look at it from the front. So, here I'm moving it up, starting there, then I'm going to go right back. Then, I'm going to go down, the same amount that I did the first stitch and, then coming in from the back, moving it up an eighth of an inch or, maybe a little more. That's more like into an eighth and a quarter and, then going right back down same distance as the first two stitches to create a pattern and, then again moving up, going back down, and this is sort of a decorative stitch right? That's on the outside of it. It looks kind of; you know it's all specific if you want that sort of look. You would bring this stitch out of your bag of tricks. You're going have something that looks like that. Once again, and, if you're doing a decorative stitch, what you're going to want to do is keep track on the side that you're looking at, you know. You can feel where the needles is moving in the back right? So, that's our front. We want the front to be nice and neat and, that's the most important thing. So, that's your fell stitch."
