Video Transcript

"Off season training for football. The warm up. Body weight squats with jump rope. Jones is going to do some body weight squats to get us started. We're doing the body weight squats to develop full range of motion through the legs. We're going to do fifteen body weight squats and then right after the fifteen body weight squats we're going to jump rope for thirty and then go back to the body weight squats. Good. Don't do all fifteen, but go ahead jump into the jump ropes now. Again, with the squats I want you to think about pressing through your heels, looking parallel to the floor. Good. Thirty jump ropes and then we're going to finish up with another fifteen body weight squats. Keep your eyes parallel to the floor each time looking at the horizon. Then right back to the body weight squats. Get as low as you can each time. This is just to warm up the body, working to get the full range of motion going. He's got his nose out. He's trying to get down as far as he can. This is a warm up so you might be a little stiff, but as you progress you're going to get deeper and deeper. Just make sure that you are still looking horizontal to the floor the whole entire time and that you're trying to drive up through your heels as you go. Then we'll move onto our next warm up exercise."
