"The causes that create problems in the lower back or the pelvic area that create pain or the subluxation of misaligned vertebrae, in chiropractics basically we have three categories and they all fits under what we call the vertebral subluxation complex. So these three kind of categories are all a level of stress, the first one would be physical, the second one would be chemical and the third one would be emotional so if you imagine physical stress being anything that is physical like the kind of work that you do such as lifting or pushing or pulling or a sport that you play, if you have played football for years or mountain climb or something like that. These are all physical stresses that can be put on the body or the lower back pelvis, whatever. Maybe car accidents or all these different kinds of things or physical pressures or forces that acts on the body. Chemical stresses or category two can be different things that we ingest from our diet, we drink a lot of soda and that coffee or all that caffeine has an effect on our system and how that plays out and can affect how this all works down here. Then emotionally, again emotional stress is something that is common to each and every one of us in our daily lives. It may be the work that we do, relationships that we have, whatever the case may be. Emotional stress weighs heavily on the body and the lower back is definitely part of that as well."
