"What is Yerba Mate? The reason why I've identified it outside of the herbal teas, is that it's one of the few herbs that's caffeinated. It is indigenous to South America, along their Amazon Rain Forest. It's found in Paraguay, Brazil, and Argentina, and by the way, Argentina produces the most black tea, that America drinks. Bad black tea, but it produces Yerba Mate, and Yerba Mate is used as a stimulant. It is more consumed than coffee. In the United States, we drink mainly coffee, but in Argentina, and throughout the south, South America, this is their number one beverage, and they drink it a few times a day. The Yerba Mate has an astringent flavor, and is an acquired taste. You either love it or you hate it. I personally, am not a fan of the Yerba Mate, because it has a bit too much caffeine for me, and it doesn't have enough positive properties, that would make me switch from drinking tea, to Yerba Mate, but again, it's all your favorite profile. If you like something a bit strong, and astringent, that might be the tea for you."
