"This segment we're going to be talking a little bit about common mistakes, I see, with tail blocks. It's a really easy trick and there's not too much you can do wrong. You can't really get hurt on this trick, it's a good one to start on but the common mistakes is that a lot of people don't put their weight, over their foot, enough. That causes your board, not to come up very much and you won't be able to grab it. If you put only a little bit of your weight on your foot, your back foot, it's just going to raise up a very small amount. It's really all about getting in there, really putting your weight in it. Another mistake, I find, is sometimes people try and grab their board and pull their board up to them, whereas you should actually just let the press, bring your board up to you. Your grab shouldn't be very stressed, it should just be kind of grabbing and then letting go. You shouldn't grab and pull. And that's some of the common mistakes that I see, with tail blocks. Just try to avoid those and you'll be great."
