"Ok our dome is closed. Now we want to shape it to the form that we want it to have. There is air inside here so you can push down. It's not going to collapse, it's being supported. I don't want to have a point on this one. Sometimes a point can be fine, it's up to you. The toad doesn't care. You do want the shoulder to be not too squared because when it goes through the glaze firing if there's too flat and too square of a shoulder this might fall in when it undergoes 2400 degrees. It actually becomes very soft, almost molten and can fall in. So now we have the shape that we want. Before we can do the next step for the toad home we're going to have to torch this."
