Ok, I'm going to show you how to make a toad home. This item is a dome. This one has glaze on it, but it has not been fired through the glaze firing, that's why it doesn't look shiny. It will be glazed and shiny when it's done. But it's a little dome, with a little cut out. And you place this on the floor, there's no floor to it. It stays dark and moist inside, and toads like to live in there. They're great for your garden, they eat a lot of bugs; it's a wonderful decorative item to have in your garden as well, so it's a fun project to do on the wheel. And the first thing that you need to do to get started, is to get your clay. Cut a piece off, for this size, I think I used about two and a half pounds. There we have three, that will be fine, it'll just be a slightly larger toad home. And, as always, when throwing on the wheel, wedge it up just a little bit unless it needs to be de-aired, and then wedge it a lot. And then make it into a very nice ball before you take it to the wheel. Ok. We're ready to make a toad home.
