"Ok the next thing we have to do is take a look at the stages of relationships. And there are several different stages that relationships follow. The first one is contact and we are going to talk about all of them separately in a minute. But after you meet someone you follow through these different stages of a relationship. Sometimes you move very quickly through them and get very involved and sometimes you don't. Sometimes you move slower. And I'm talking about these stages in relationships with regards to whether it's a romantic relationship, whether it's a friendship relationship all the rules apply basically because all relationships are developed the same. Some move into an intimacy phase and some do not. But the thing about the stages that's so important and this goes to communication and developing relationships, is you always want to make sure you and the other person are either in the same stage or very aware that you are in different stages. This happens a lot in romantic relationships. You know she's like on the first date and he's just somewhere else or he's on the first date just hanging out and she's in her mind planning the wedding. So it's very good to keep an open communication about where we are at. This is how I feel about things, this is where I want to go and so forth and so on. Now let’s talk about the stages."
