"In this segment I want to talk about balancing light into a central reflector in the front. We're not going to be back lighting this. It's just going to be. I'm going to hit the light pretty close to the subject. I'm just going to bounce it into a white card right onto them. The light on this is actually really nice. I like this. The intensity is softer than an umbrella. A little bit more directional. Usually from underneath. You can kind of set up any way you want but you get, because of the soft, depending on the size of your white card you can get a really nice soft illumination. So let me just show you how to do that. Then I'm going to just bring the white card in. And again it's kind of like how I illuminate with the soft box or something. I kind of just take a look and I see. I'm using a foam V here. One of the large foam V. A lot of times when I'm bouncing light into cards I like to use a white card to help fill in on the other side because it tends to be a little contrasty. It's one of those things you position the light, the cards until you get in the light that you like. Then you'd want to test it with your flash."
