"As we are waiting for our oil to heat, I'm going to pull out two cloves of garlic. We'll cut off the brown stem ends and discard them. And before we start chopping, we're going to take our cumin seeds and we're going to measure out a half a teaspoon. I'm going to move our oil around the bottom of the pot and then we'll just lightly toast these seeds. So I'm going to chop our garlic, bring it together to get rid of any big chunks. And then we will add our onions on top of our cumin seeds and our garlic on top of that. I'm going to measure out a tablespoon of cinnamon and we're going to spread that lightly over the top of our onions and garlic. And then, we'll take a half a cup of rice and we'll add that over the top and let the rice toast."
